Since I shared my Best of 2021 Weddings last week, I thought I’d also start a new post: Best of 2021 Newborns!
I’ve always done family and newborn work, but it was truly when I had my son Avett that I fell in love with the newborn speciality. The newborn days are so fleeting and the definition of bittersweet. The nights are long, the days are sweet. You have bags under your eyes. You’re in love. You new moms may also still be wearing a diaper yourself. Umm yeah, been there.
I have a vivid memory of me holding Avett when he was a newborn with my arms wrapped around him, with his tummy on my chest. I tried to memorize how my arms fell and wrapped around him so I could always remember how small he was on my chest.
Telling the story of the love and adornment you have for this little person is so important. The way they fit in your arms. Their little toes and features.
It all deserves to be documented.
Like my Best of Weddings blog post, it was so hard to narrow down some of my favorites!
Looking at this Best of 2021 Newborns blog post is so rewarding to see how many families I’ve met this year and also wedding couples I love seeing since their big day.
Thank you to all of my families for letting me document such a precious time in your lives.
