Spring Wedding at The Solarium at The Ritz Carlton St. Louis

My first wedding of 2024 was Erika and Ryan’s spring wedding at The Solarium at The Ritz Carlton St. Louis! This was a wedding I had been looking forward to for over a year.

As a wedding photographer, it’s always so special to me to photograph a couple’s love story as it unfolds: from the inquiry call after a proposal, to engagement photos, to their wedding day with all of their family and friends.

Erika and Ryan’s late March St. Louis wedding was set against the backdrop of spring hues and the elegant charm of The Solarium at the Ritz Carlton St. Louis.

The Solarium at the Ritz Carlton St. Louis provided the perfect setting for their ceremony, with its lush greenery ceiling, natural light, and a stunning floral backdrop by Rouge Floral Design. Seriously it took my breath away with how beautiful of an install they did!

Erika and Ryan’s story began in college, where they first crossed paths as young, ambitious students. Both driven by their passion for medicine, they soon found themselves navigating the challenging journey of medical school together, supporting each other through the long hours of study and the demands of their rigorous training. From listening to the wedding day toasts, I loved to hear how sweet and supportive Ryan was to Erika in this chapter. Erika is among my beloved list of WashU’s OBGYN residents that I have been so blessed to photograph!

One of the highlights of the day was capturing the sweetest vows (with their dog Bama watching!) between Erika and Ryan. In his vows, Ryan actually took out a letter he wrote in 2016, before they were even dating, saying she was always the one. ARE YOU KIDDDDIN ME! He saved the letter for 8 years!

As the evening unfolded and their reception began, Erika and Ryan danced their choreographed dance with an acoustic set of “Enchanted” by Taylor Swift.

This St. Louis wedding at the The Solarium was a STUNNER! All around good vibes with such a great vendor team and the best kind of clients a girl could ask for.
