Wedding at The Lemp Mansion

Katie and Danny’s wedding at The Lemp Mansion was such a perfect reflection of who they are. They are laid back, full of laughter, and surrounded by people who absolutely adore them. They got married in late August, and it was one of those perfect, golden St. Louis days that just felt like a hug from summer.

Before heading to their wedding at The Lemp Mansion, Katie and Danny spent the morning getting ready together at their home. I loved this so much. It was calm, intimate, and so true to them. They also had their pup, Pepperoni alongside them. Instead of being apart and saving a first look for later, they shared one right in their living room. It was so sweet and emotional in the best way. These kinds of moments remind me why I love documenting more of the wedding day beyond just the ceremony. These parts of the day tell such a beautiful part of the story.

Katie wore a simple strapless dress paired with the most incredible cape. It had me in awe every time she moved. It added such a timeless, effortless feel to her look — minimalist, but full of personality.

Outdoor Ceremony and Reception at The Lemp Mansion

Their wedding ceremony and reception took place outside The Lemp Mansion, under a white tent that made the space feel both elegant and cozy. The Lemp Mansion’s history and architecture make it such a unique St. Louis wedding venue. It’s charming, a little mysterious, and full of character. With string lights overhead and laughter all around, their celebration felt like one long dinner party with all their favorite people.

Additionally, I can’t forget one of my favorite moments from the day—their surprise getaway car arriving! Katie and Danny’s family arranged for a family member’s vintage VW bus to whisk them away at the end of the night. It was such a fun, unexpected touch and made for the perfect ending to an already incredible day.
