When I say I’m forever obsessed with Suzanne and Chris’s wedding, I mean it. This “Meet Me in St. Louis” wedding was packed with thoughtful details, vibrant colors, and personal touches that made the whole day unforgettable. It was a celebration of their love and a beautiful tribute to the heart of St. Louis.
Suzanne and Chris began their Meet Me in St. Louis wedding on The Hill, one of St. Louis’s most historic and charming neighborhoods. They tied the knot at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, surrounded by family, friends, and the rich traditions of the Italian-American community that’s rooted there.
One of my favorite shots I took on their wedding day was after I followed them in their green vintage car. In the shot I took, while driving my own car mind you, a venue Suzanne’s grandparents got married at was in the background. What a sweet nod to tell Suz that her loved ones were with her.
The ceremony was full of warmth and tradition, a perfect way to begin a day that would later take a turn into full-on vintage whimsy.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to World’s Fair Pavilion in Forest Park—one of my all-time favorite venues in St. Louis. But Suzanne and Chris’s vendors didn’t just show up and decorate…they completely transformed the space.
Their wedding theme? A colorful, nostalgic nod to the classic film Meet Me in St. Louis. Think vintage lamps on tables, cozy living-room vibes outdoors, and vibrant tablescapes that looked like they came straight from a magazine. The entire design was intentional, warm, and full of personality.
Let’s talk about the bride for a moment. Suzanne’s Meet Me in St. Louis wedding day look was everything: a short, 1960s-style wedding dress that gave off major Audrey Hepburn energy, paired with a bold, rainbow-hued floral coat that made her look like a walking work of art.
Her bridal style was the perfect mix of timeless and playful…just like the whole day.
From the vintage glassware and layered floral centerpieces to the paper goods, every single element of vintage St. Louis wedding told a story. It was clear Suzanne and Chris wanted their guests to feel at home, even in a grand park pavilion.
Suzanne and Chris’s wedding was truly an exquisite experience. One that blended classic St. Louis architecture, rich history, and fresh, creative ideas that made the celebration feel uniquely theirs.
I’m a St. Louis wedding photographer who’s all about storytelling, personality, and real connection. If that sounds like your kind of vibe, reach out and say hi!
