From the charming streets of historic downtown St. Charles to the breathtaking rooftop ceremony and the opulent ballroom reception, every detail of their day was a celebration of the duo that Alex and Kirby are!

Heartwarming First Looks

One of the most special moments of the day was Alex’s first look with her dad. It was a sweet and touching moment as her dad saw her before she went to her first look with Kirby. His reaction was filled with pride and love, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.

Equally moving was Alex and Kirby’s first look. As Alex approached and when Kirby turned to see his bride, he was overcome with emotion, and it was a moment that touched everyone present. Their excitement was undeniable, and capturing that raw, heartfelt exchange was an absolute honor.

The Day Begins: Downtown St. Charles

Alex and Kirby chose to kick off their wedding day with photos in downtown St. Charles. This historic district provided the perfect backdrop for their pre-ceremony portraits and wedding party photos. The cobblestone streets, vintage storefronts, and warm autumn hues created a romantic and timeless ambiance. It’s so convenient to have an Ameristar Casino wedding so close to these photo spots!

A Rooftop Ameristar Casino Wedding with a View

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the rooftop ceremony at Ameristar Casino. With a spectacular view of the Missouri River, Alex and Kirby exchanged their vows shortly before sunset. The rooftop setting offered such a great backdrop for them, as well as for family photos afterward!

One of my favorite parts of the day was after their ceremony and their guests headed to cocktail hour. I had the rooftop empty with Alex and Kirby and we got to take gorgeous portraits of them. Taking photos immediately after ceremony is SO FUN because couples are always so excited and pumped – and ready to get the party started!

The Ameristar Casino wedding reception

Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into Ameristar Casino’s ballroom for the reception. The room was transformed into a beautiful space, with floral centerpieces, ambient lighting, and a dance floor ready for dancing!

The evening continued with heartfelt toasts, a delicious dinner, and a lively dance party that had everyone on their feet.
