Today I am sharing Kara and Darren’s Verde on Cherokee wedding!
I have been close friends with Kara for years. It’s always so special for me to be able to play the role of storyteller for those that I love so much. How I see it — as a wedding guest I would only get to see a glimpse of a friend’s wedding day at a ceremony or, in the case of Kara and Darren’s intimate wedding, I would see photos later on. But when I play the role as wedding photographer, I get to have an up close view of my friends’ day that is so special and truly an honor.
Kara and Darren held their intimate Verde on Cherokee wedding in the greenhouse space with their closest family. They started out with an intimate ceremony followed by a delicious dinner catered by Union Loafers.
One of my favorite parts of their small ceremony was their guestbook alternative, which was a vintage audio guestbook. Their family could leave “voicemails” with their well wishes for Kara and Darren to keep after the wedding day.
This was my first time at Verde on Cherokee and I absolutely fell in love with the space. I truly hope I can return someday soon! It’s the perfect space to hold an intimate wedding in St. Louis.
Congratulations, Kara and Darren! So happy I can call you two friends and excited that ya’ll made it official!!
