I’m so glad to be sharing Katie and Josh’s Wild Carrot weekday wedding. If you keep up with my blog, you may notice that more and more folks are getting married on weekdays as couples are downsizing to keep their guests safe. At least for me, I am here for these Monday microweddings!
Katie and Josh reached out to me to last month to capture their March 15 ceremony for them. Like many other couples, the pandemic had thrown a wrench in their original plans, were tired of waiting, and recognized the importance of just having their immediate family there with them as they said I do.
It was such a lovely way to spend the afternoon. And even more special, they got married on Katie’s father’s first heavenly birthday. He was honored throughout the day, and after the ceremony all guests took a shot.
One of my favorite parts of the day was when Katie’s best friend swung by Wild Carrot and surprised Katie in the middle of our couple portraits. I’m sure it was so hard to not have what would have been a bridesmaid not in attendance, so it was so special to see these two friends hug it out real quick to celebrate.
Katie and Josh, I loved spending this day with you and capturing these moments for you. Congrats, friends!
