Bretlyn and Tyler

Filed in Wedding  /  May 31, 2017 /

Oh. my. GOSH. You guys! I can’t get over it. Bretlyn and Tyler’s Lalumondiere Mill and Rivergardens wedding day could not have been more magical. Imagine the setting: a renovated mill-turned-home from the 1800s, the sound of the river peacefully roaring behind you, sparkly lights all around, and best of all: a couple that are head over heels in love with each other, surrounded by family and friends – old and new.

Bretlyn and Tyler were married at the Lalumondiere’s property on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. The weather was perfect. In fact, weeks earlier when I met up with them for their engagement session in California, I asked Bretlyn what would be the ideal weather. She said something along the lines of “partly sunny and 80 degrees.” And they got just that.

Wedding toasts are one of my favorite parts of wedding days because I really get to know what types of people my couples are, directly from the people that have known them the longest. After they are through, I usually find confidence in what I already knew: they are amazing people. This is no exception to Bretlyn and Tyler. I absolutely love them.

Bretlyn is smart, beautiful, and one of the kindest people you’ll meet. She has a warmth about her that makes everyone feel comfortable. Tyler is warm, funny, and again, one of the kindest people. On their wedding day, I’d often see Tyler just gazing at Bretlyn with admiration. THESE TWO, ya’ll. I adore them, and chances are if you know them, you adore them too.

Oh, and one last thing before you dive into the photos. Tyler is a farmer and grows food in Northern California, hence the amazing farm theme. I’ve deemed him the REAL Prince Farming!

Bretlyn and Tyler, couples like you are the reason I feel so lucky to do what I do. Now move back to St. Louis so I can call you up to hang out.

And hey couples, if you’re getting married at Lalumondiere Mill and Rivergardens – call me! I would shoot here every weekend if I could!
